Catherine Berwick

Catherine Berwick is an experienced teacher, leader and qualified SENCO. Catherine started her teaching career at a secondary comprehensive school in London and subsequently moved to Lincolnshire to take up a post as head of MFL.

Catherine joined Inspiration Trust in 2014 as Jane Austen College opened to students for the first time and took on the role of Assistant Principal and SENCO in 2016. In 2021 Catherine took up the role of Trust Lead for SEND, where she has worked closely with both SENCOs and curriculum leaders to develop understanding and inclusive practice in curriculum development and implementation across Inspiration Trust.

Catherine founded Inspiration SEND Network in 2022, a network for senior leaders and SENCOs designed to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be able to lead SEND at whole school level. To date the network has nearly 300 members across the UK and hosts regular events on a range of relevant topics.
