Jamie Conyard

Jamie has taught science in secondary schools in Norfolk over the past decade. He was the Head of Chemistry at a secondary school in Norwich before more recently becoming the Trust-wide chemistry lead. In this role, Jamie is shaping the Inspiration Trust chemistry curriculum from KS1-KS4 as well as leading the training of chemistry teachers. Jamie is also a member of the Oak National Academy subject expert group, acting as a consultant on secondary curriculum and resource design.

Prior to teaching, Jamie was a research scientist for 10 years, obtaining a PhD in the chemical sciences and holding post-doctoral research positions in the UK and in France. Throughout his time in academia, Jamie held a keen interest in outreach work and raising the aspirations of children; this continues to be a key focus in his current role in education.
