Celebrating A-Level Results Across our Trust

Over 500 students received their A-Level results across our family of schools and we celebrate another superb set of A-Level results.

Numerous students have secured places at their first-choice universities, achieving a high number of grades at A* and A, with the Trust as a whole scoring 83% of all grades at A*-C, and 61% of all grades at A*-B. 

Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form 

Students once again cemented Sir Isaac Newton's place as on of the top performing sixth forms in the country, with 86% of grades at A*-C, including 69% at A*-B and an incredible 40% at A*-A. 

One hundred and seventy-five students have achieved their first place at University. Seventeen students have gone to pursue courses in dentistry or medicine, with sixteen A* in every subject they took, and more than half of our students achieving an A in at least one subject.

Jane Austen College Sixth Form 

Jane Austen College also delivers a high level of achievement once again this year, celebrating 83% of A*-C grades, 62% at A*-B, and 30% of grades at A*-A. 

Following these exceptional results, Jane Austen College Sixth Form is delighted to see 85% of its students gain a place on their chosen courses and at their first-choice university. Students have also been accepted on competitive degree-level apprenticeships and professional training courses, alongside those attending Universities which included Cambridge, Warwick, LSE, UCL, Leeds, Manchester, York, Sheffield, Bristol, Nottingham, Exeter and Edinburgh.

Glen Allott, Principal at Jane Austen College said: 

“We are incredibly proud of our sixth form students for their excellent A-Level results. As they move on to the next stage of their journeys - whether in higher education, apprenticeships, or employment - we are confident they will continue to thrive and make a positive impact. Their futures are undoubtedly bright." 

Thomas Paine Sixth Form 

At Thomas Paine, students achieved 70% of grades at A* to C, with 35% of grades at A* - B, and 16% of grades at A*-A. Another fantastic year of results for the sixth form, students have gone from strength to strength through their studies. Fantastic progress has been made by students at the sixth form.

Michael Fordham, Principal and Ina Coubrough, who in September starts as Principal of Thetford Academy and its sixth form, Thomas Paine said: 

“We're so delighted to see students celebrating another year of excellent results. We once again have students achieving suites of top grades, such as James who is off to UEA to study Computer Science having achieved A*A*A in Maths, Computer Science and Further Maths, and Jack (pictured below), who will be starting at the Royal Academy of Music with a starred distinction for Music Performance."

King Edward VII Academy Sixth Form 

Students and staff alike are celebrating 70% of A-Levels at A*-C, 46% of grades at A*-B and 22% of grades at A*-A; showing a marked improvement year on year for students.

This year, the prestigious King’s Gold Medal Award will be going to Sam at an in-person ceremony with His Majesty. His award celebrates not only his academic success of four A* grades but also his contributions to the sixth form.

Sam Doughty said: 

"I'm super proud of my results and really excited to be starting uni at York in September. Thank you to the entire 6th form team and all the teachers at KES for being such incredible support throughout my time there!" 

Darren Hollingsworth, Principal at King Edward VII Academy said: 

“As Principal, I would like to offer my warmest congratulations to all of our A Level students on their achievements this summer. These results are the product of resilience and determination, and they reflect the character and ambition that make KES such a special community.
